"We gave it wings and it flew."
1959 Chevrolet Impala.
The United States of American grew this year - adding Alaska and Hawaii - as did the Chevy lineup - with wider bodies and wider functionality. A new windshield design, billed as "Vista-Panoramic," gave drivers 53 per cent greater forward visibility. Ball-Race steering and a new husky stabilizer bar for the rear suspension made for a different feel on the road. The 1959 Chevrolet did in fact have some pretty cool wings!
Each August Chevrolet commissions its ad agency Campbell Ewald to develop a series of billboards to be displayed in the Detroit area in celebration of the Woodward Dream Cruise weekend.
Each sign is custom printed on vibrance luster paper. Art print poster measures 12" height x 36" width. Also available as a banner measuring 24" height x 72" width.
